Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. She was best known as Skyler in AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 and 2014. She was Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. The actress was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in Preparatory School before her family relocated to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. Her studies in theatre was in the theatre department at Northwestern University. A semester was completed at the British American Drama Academy. Anna spent a few seasons working in Chicago theatre before moving on to television and film. Anna had her first big role as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore. Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in the year 1992. After guest appearances as a on several TV shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was given the role of Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully is the Deadwood film and other films included her. Gunn took the stage for David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn played in a 4-part audio-play podcast called "Numbered Days". The love story that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the story in Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and eventually its demise echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final years of his life.
